Vessel Attacked and on Fire Near Basra; Iran Blamed for Strike
⚓ BASRA — Another burning hull, but this one is inside Iraqi territorial waters. 📌 LOOK CLOSER: Basra sits at the head of the Shatt al-Arab — Iraqi sovereign waters, not open strait. With 29+ attacks in October, the operational tempo is accelerating toward the November 3 window.
